Dial maintains a staff of over 100 officers.  All are licensed by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs/Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).  Background Checks are a State requirement to receiving a Security Officer License.  A routine, pre-hire employment and local criminal background check is done by our office.  The State's more in depth background check includes a review by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).  A process known as "live scan" is used to insure accurate fingerprinting with data than sent to each agency for historical review.  No one can work as a Security Officer until they have cleared all of the background checks and received their license from the State of California.

 

Dial Officers have performed work that includes strikes, warehouse watchman, bank guard, community events, construction sites, apartment complexes, business centers, schools, marinas, weddings, parties, homeowner associations, movie production sets and undercover surveillance.  Officers are available for any event or location in Ventura County.

 

Dial Security is always available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Our Central Station Dispatch will put a Security Representative in contact with you at any time of day or night.  There is NO WAITING to solve your security problem until the next day.  In the case of an emergency an Officer will be on your site within two hours of your request for service.

 

Rates for services vary by location, duties and Officer qualifications needed. Short term services such as parties can be quoted over the telephone.  Other, long-term services such as construction projects generally require a site visit to properly assess the Officers duties to be performed.

 

A fleet of 20 vehicles are utilized in providing nightly patrol services throughout Ventura County.  This is an Armed Patrol service that Dial offers to all of our customers, commercial and residential.  The Patrol Officers are Weapons Qualified by the State of California and must pass a qualifications exam semi-annually.  Patrol is a nightly inspection service wherein the officer performs a series of spot checks on an account.  Duties vary but have included verifying locked doors, scheduled lock-ups and openings, checking for vandalism, parking lot patrol and responding to alarm signals.
