Networking Two or More Company Locations
With the Toshiba phone systems that we sell - one fascinating feature is called 'QSIG' Networking. It's a standardized method for sending telecommunication signals between two phone systems - over the Internet. This allows two phone systems to appear as if they are only one system.
One of our current customers has two locations that are located in different cities - one is in Camarillo, and the other is in Oxnard. The distance between the two is about 15 miles or so - and they have a great need to constantly transfer calls back and forth.
So by adding the appropriate QSIG networking card to their Toshiba phone systems, they now have a solution that is far cheaper than paying for a dedicated T1 between the two companies. In Camarillo, they simply dial one of the intercom numbers for Oxnard, and they are immediately connected. Further savings are achieved because the Oxnard office uses the voicemail system physically located in Camarillo.
The main operator in Camarillo can look at her console, and see who's on the line over in Oxnard - and who is free to accept a transferred call. This capability is just another nice feature of QSIG networking.
Do you have more than one company location? Are you planning to open a branch office in the future? Call Dial Communications (or your local telephone vendor), and ask us how we could save you money with QSIG Networking.
